Walk in interview for Senior Research Fellow @ ACTREC

The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai is the new state-of-the-art R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), which also includes under its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), the largest cancer hospital in Asia. ACTREC has the mandate to function as a national centre for treatment, research and education in cancer. TMC is an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860) and the Bombay Public Trust Act (1950). Its Governing Council is headed by the Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission, Government of India.

Post: Senior Research Fellow

Title of the Project: Integrative Analysis of Genomic and Transcriptomic alterations Associated with Node-Metastasizing Oral Cancers.

Funding  Agency: DBT A/c. No.2878

Principal Investigator: Dr. Manoj Mahimkar

Duration of the Project: Three months from the date of appointment.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
*M.Sc. in Life Sciences or allied subject areas with >60% marks plus at least two years of post M.Sc. research experience. The applicant must be familiar with standard tissue culture and molecular biology techniques such as DNA RNA extraction, PCRs, QRT PCRs, FISH, IHC and Western blotting. Candidate with eexperience in analysis of array CGH, Gene Expression arrays data will be preferred.
*M.Sc. degree obtained after a one year course will not be considered.
Selected candidate will have to join at the earliest.

The interviews would be held on 23-06-2015 and will be only for the pre-registered candidates. Candidates should report between 09.30 to 10.00 a.m.in Steno Pool, 3^rd floor, Khanolkar Shodhika, ACTREC, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.

No T.A./D.A. will be admissible for attending the interview.

At the time of Interview the candidate should bring original certificates along with CV with contact details of 2 referees and submit the photocopies (attested) of the certificates, with a recent passport size photograph.
