Job Description :
- Sr. Scientist is responsible for providing technical and scientific expertise to assist in the design, development and commercialization of products used for advanced wound management.
- This individual will coordinate and conduct early stage research and development, support product development teams, and provide expertise in QC, validation.
- Conduct all aspects of research and development including study design, formulation development, coordination, report writing, presentation and journal publications.
- Conduct scientific experiments, validation, stability studies on biomaterials such as collagen, chitosan, gelatin, cellulose, alginate and composite research.
- Interface with Product Development, R&D and production teams
- Evaluate lab instruments/technologies and make recommendations for purchasing.
- Work to resolve GMP batch issues under aggressive, compressed timelines.
- Opportunity to nurture, train and lead a team.
- Added Skills Required :
- Requires knowledge of chemistry and experience with polymer / materials characterization.
- Requires a working knowledge of common analytical methods and procedures.
- Should have atleast 2 international / review publications.
- Must have broad understanding of GMP, ISO guidelines and practices is a must.
- Should have filing knowledge of domestic & international regulatory requirements and compliance.
- Should be able to draft, apply and execute research projects through budgeting and external fund raise.
- Willingness to sign confidentiality agreement
- Must have excellent written communication skills
- Must recognize the importance of building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships
- Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Domestic / International patent applications
- Prior experience in handling Freeze drying / Lyophilization and/or other advanced drying techniques.
- Experience in handling a project from lab to industrial scale-up.
Experience Required : 3-4 years
