Person Specification :
- Should have an experience of 2-3 years.
- Should be computer proficient.
- As Cell biologist, you should provide cell culture, biochemical and molecular biology expertise to support and advance the pre-clinical and clinical development of Himalaya drug company.
- Maintain primary and immortalized cell lines
- Perform routine cell and biochemical techniques, cell-based assays and cell line analysis.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the SOPs for cell culture, biochemistry and molecular biology.
- Assist with developing assays including cell based activity, ELISA, toxicity and PCR based methods.
- Operate equipment including cell counters, microscopes, PCR machines and ELISA reader.
- Maintain and keep current laboratory notebooks on the activities tested.
- To comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety Policy.
- Responsible for delivering all project work on time, to budget and to the required levels of technical quality.
- Ensuring appropriate standards of housekeeping, safety and discipline are applied within the Cell biology Laboratory.
- Ensuring that equipment is maintained/calibrated according to the schedules and that records are kept of maintenance and calibration activities.
- Working closely with project managers to plan work and report status.
- Attending meetings and presenting data as required.
- Writing study reports and presenting project reports when required.
- Writing/reviewing qualification / validation and method transfer protocols and reports.
- Undertaking other responsibilities as required depending upon work demands.
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but also to work as a team player
- Focus on continuous improvement - ability to evaluate systems to improve system functionality and efficiency.
- Flexible attitude to work - ability to adapt to changing demands and meet tight deadlines
